COME SHARE OUR LABRADOODLES WITH US

Canadoodle Australian Labradoodles began it's journey with the labradoodles in February of 2001 when we opened our home to Tegan Park Payroll "Coal" our black fleece coated standard labradoodle. We already had Sable our brown standard poodle and wished to begin breeding labradoodles.  We were so enamoured with Coal that we went ahead and brought over Tegan Park Fantasy Irland "Tassi" our brown fleece coat matriarch in whelp to Tegan Park Ima Collectors Item "Chester" and the rest is history. Tassi and Chester gave us a whopping litter of 15 brown labradoodle puppies (the largest recorded labradoodle litter to date) that were extremely robust healthy little doodles.  We have grown and flourished since then and are continuing to grow and enjoy these wonderful dogs.
Our labradoodles are a part of our family and we have a handful of doodles who live with us and the rest are happily  living with their Guardian Families.  Puppies are all hand whelped in the house and spend their early days in the dining room (the hub of the house) until they are three weeks old.  Our two grandchildren (Zak 10 and Josie 8) help to socialize the puppies as well as our group of trusted helpers. We use multigenerational labradoodles as well as poodles and possibly some first cross doodles to retain the wonderful qualities of the labradoodle, as we know it today, but also to retain the hybrid vigor and increase the gene pool. Genetic soundness and healthy happy puppies are of the utmost importance to us along with joyful happy families who have come to share our doodles with us. We invite you all to join in the joy of making a labradoodle or two or three a part of your happy home!!!   Wombat (Noah) and Mitchel.jpg (46092 bytes)

Karen & Tom delivering a puppyCanadoodle Labradoodles specializes in the breeding of the true Australian Labradoodle direct from Tegan Park Labradoodles of Australia & Rutland Manor of Australia.

Tegan Park Breeding and Research Centre and Rutland Manor Breeding and Research Centre are the original Labradoodle breeders that have taken the Labradoodle to where it is now and have given us the quality we have come to expect.  They have focused on allergy and asthma friendliness, non-shedding qualities, and an intelligent and easily trained family companion.  We have purchased breeding stock from these fine kennels for the purpose of continuing to offer the same top quality to our North American families.

It is our goal to continue in the footsteps of Angela at Tegan Park and Beverley at Rutland Manor in Australia.  We will strive to maintain genetically sound, happy, healthy, friendly family pets.

Labradoodle Standards

Size:  There are three types of labradoodles:

Height (in.) Weight (lbs.)
Standard  21 - 24 50 - 65
Medium 17 - 20 30 - 40
Miniature 14 - 16 18 - 25

Color: Color varies from chalk (milky white), shades of cream, apricot, gold, black, blue, chocolate, Cafe au lait, red, caramel and silver.

Coat:  Labradoodles usually have no body odor, require minimal bathing and brushing and rarely, if ever, attract fleas.  They seldom shed hair but will need to be groomed.

Temperament:   The Labradoodle is very intelligent, bright and bubbly.  They have a great desire to be part of the family making them very easy to train.  Labradoodles are great watchdogs but are void of aggression.  They are sociable with other animals and are very patient with children of all ages.

Allergy and Asthma sufferers take heart - Labradoodles may be the breed for you!

A testimony of an 8-year old boy: "He hugged and kissed Boodha Bear saying all the while how lucky we were to have a dog that does not cause allergies!"
Hi Karen,

This just happened yesterday... I thought you would be interested to know.

We went to visit my brother in his new home. He has a lab/Chesapeake bay retriever cross. We were in his home for only an hour and when we left my 8 year old son had an asthma attack. We rushed him home and used the Ventilin inhaler and benedryl for his hives. He recovered and we didn't need to go to the hospital.

He hugged and kissed Boodha Bear saying all the while how lucky we were to have a dog that does not cause allergies!!!  He does shed a bit but he is absolutely non-allergic!  You can post this on your site if you like.

A testament to the wonderful hypoallergenic coats of a multi-gen (shedder or not). Thank-you again for our Lovely Boo!

Best regards, Karen
