Canadoodle's Guardian Home Expectations

Canadoodle Australian Labradoodles wishes for all their breeding dogs to live a pampered and well adjusted life.  In order to do so, we place the majority of our dogs in their own forever homes with a "Guardian Family".

Where and what is a Guardian Home?

It is preferred that the dogs, especially the boys,
live within 90 minutes of Grand Forks to ensure a convenient access home when they are needed.  We expect that the Guardian Family will provide a forever home that is loving and nurturing and that the dog will become a much loved family member that lives with you, in your home - never a backyard dog.
We require that all appropriate precautions be taken to ensure that she/he is kept safe both from getting loose, lost or hurt and from other dogs hurting her/him or causing her to become pregnant or him to impregnate another dog.

We expect that all vaccinations, grooming, training and quality food will be regularly provided.  Apart from coming in for regular grooming, we ask that your dog comes often to visit so that coming here to be bred, whelp or used for breeding is a happy and non-stressful occasion
.

All regular veterinary care is the responsibility of the Guardian Family - any veterinary care required for breeding and whelping purposes is the responsibility of Canadoodles.
When the Guardian dog is released from the program, it is spayed/neutered at our expense and becomes a forever pet of the Guardian Family.

We have an amazing group of Guardian Families within the program who provide wonderful homes for our doodles and with whom we have a warm and friendly relationship that lasts beyond the program time.  We cherish our Guardian Families for without them, life would not be nearly as fulfilling or as much fun.

Dogs Needing a Guardian Home:

Jasper

Jasper is our 2 year old medium  Heart Throb who is athletic, fun loving, affectionate, comical – just plain wonderful.  He has begun his breeding career and has given us some exceptional babies with a new spring lineup for 2012.  Jasper needs a home where he can enjoy activities with his family, like Fly ball, Obedience, Rally or Agility and nice long walks or runs but especially to fetch his ball.  Jasper is a very special boy and will do well in an active household.

Quinn

Quinn is a 3  ½ year old medium female who is happy and fun, lovable, affection, quiet and unassuming but a real personality.  Quinn loves her walks, she will fetch a ball and can run like the wind.  Quinn is looking for a medium to active family who will cherish her happy self.

Joey also needs a home!

Joey is a medium dark brown 5 month old male who is confident, quiet but curious and wants to be a part of what is happening.  He will lie quietly when there is no action but wants to go for walks, to learn whatever you wish to teach him and do it just right.  Joey will do well in a family of kids.
